Nice book, if you have a magnifier

This is a very interesting effort, but it should have been done in a larger format, such as 11 x 8-1/2. The maps are too small to be any good without a strong magnifier, and the fact tables aren't much better.
The section on the regional carriers is nice, but it's a bit confusing when these are listed both under the umbrella title (e.g. Delta Connection) and then again under the individual carriers (ASA, Comair, etc.).
The main problem now, which is no fault of the author, is that the book is already outdated, published as it was before the AirTran/Southwest and Continental/United mergers. Hopefully there will be a new, updated edition, but in a larger format!

Valuable and handy resource!!

Well, it's about time a book like this has been released! I am VERY pleased with the overall content and layout! Very clean and organized...so much detail and information! Great valuable and ready-to-use handy resource!!! I recommend this book to anyone in the airline industry or airline enthusiast including frequent fliers! I love how there's so much information and history/illustrations/facts about the airlines, some of which I had no idea even existed. I live in Alaska so I was happy to see that the book includes lots of Alaska-based carriers as well! The author did a great job putting this all together, I really appreciate the detail and the "extras" it includes. Looking forward to future books like this from the author! Well done!!!!

Excellent book....perfect for any airline enthusiast. The author goes into great detail and description, well above the usual. Every fact and minor detail you would ever want to know about a major or regional airline can be found here. The quality and tedious effort that went into the photos and illustrations is phenomenal. The information is presented in a fun and easy to read fashion by the author. This is truly an exceptional fun filled airline ''manual''. I recommend this book with no reservations to anyone even slightly interested in airplanes.
