Great for Everyone at Any Math Level

Use Fractions To Multiply!: Vedic Mental Math is a fantastic find on breaking down some great mental math shortcuts. The author gets right to the point but is very conversational in his introduction to Vedic Math and its history. He draws you in long before you realize you're about to learn something really valuable here. The first part of the book, there are no exercises to do, as it's more about getting you to have a different outlook about math, and with what you already know. You're asked to recognize the patterns that are going on. The author spends a good deal of the book covering this and that really helps as you get involved in the exercises. I also found the chapter layout very helpful. We have two kids at different levels and could keep one child moving on to the other digits and exercises. Now, keep an eye out for the math jokes, just remember, they're math jokes! The author is a gifted writer and has delivered a great teaching tool and a really fun read.
